I'm not joking, this just happened to me three days ago. I'm a mum who lives at home because child care costs are too high for me to go back to work and so i would love to basically do some work online and earn money. So i went onto Gumtree and i saw this advert saying 'Typist/Data Entry and Information Products Processor' needed, i read it and it was a woman called Vicky Entwistle Law who was offering a this job to fill in ads online for products for '100+ companies' and her company was called 'Ideal Jobs'. Apparently, i would earn 20-25 pounds per advert. It sounded perfect, i could earn easy money sitting at home with the kids. She asked for £31 to be paid by Paypal to her for training material. I emailled her a few times, she seemed genuine and very prompt at replying to my emails. So i paid her £31 and then she emailled me training material which was simply a copy of her original ad on Gumtree with an instruction to re-post it on to loads of free ad websites which she gave me a list of! I was soooo annoyed, given that every penny counts with the kids, i was simply taken for a ride.
I was being told to scam others out of their money. And then the silly cow gave me some downloads for eBooks so i thought at least i've got that for my money, but the downloads links didnt work either and eventually i tracked down the same eBooks onlilne that are being given away for free anyway, so what did i pay that £31 for exactly.
i thought i'm going to show this woman that you cant get away with scamming people, so i went to the Paypal website and opened a case for investigation by Paypal, but 'as we do not deal with the quality of the product delivered' they were not able to help me. Then i emailled fraud alert at the met police but nothing came of that either. All i managed to do was get her ad taken off Gumtree by Gumtree Admin. Then i thought i would go on to all the free ad websites that she advertises on and tell everyone the truth about her, but some websites have a legal clause against saying anything regarding scam emails that have come from their website. so now i'm stuck, i still want my money back but i can't get it.
Anyway, never do business with any Vicky Entwistle Law using the email vickylaw28@msn.com as her Paypal email and Idealjobs@live.co.uk!!!
