A Ghost?

I'll never forget this story, my mum said she was in Pakistan and she was pregnant with my sister at the time. During the night she would often feel thirsty, as you would in a hot country, and so she got up and left her bedroom and she noticed that the rug outside her room was at a slant. Now you need to understand Pakistani houses are built on a huge scale where everyone has quarters of their own and nobody goes into anyone else's quarter. So it was just my mum and dad in their part of the house and the door to their section was locked, so no one else could have come in either. Plus my mum went to bed after my dad and she had just fixed the rug before going in to her room, and she hadn't slept up to that point, so she knew my dad hadn't left the room either. So she was freaked out by how this rug became slanted ...

She walked up to the kitchen in the dark and got her glass of water, she stood back and looked out of the window and it was then that, in the tree opposite to her window, she saw this silhouette of a man but with a disproportionately thin waist and large head! She screamed as the figure jumped through the branches of the tree and her glass smashed on to the floor trapping her in the kitchen as she was barefoot in the dark and would cut her feet if she dared to move. Suddenly, she heard slow foot steps coming up the stairs which lead from the main entrance to her section of the house to the floor where her bedroom was. She frantically thought, if it was her husband who heard the glass smash and has got up, he would be running, she was convinced it wasn't him as the steps were so slow and why would he even be on the stairs, surely he would be coming from the direction of the bedroom?! She was trapped and could only listen to these steps in a state of utter panic. She looked out the window but the figure had disappeared. The foot steps stopped, and she stood in silence. Then she says about 5mins later, he husband, came out the bedroom groggy saying 'love, where are you, what are you doing'. He opened the light in the kitchen and saw my mum standing like a statue, scared witless..he also confirmed that he wasn't the one walking around..the main entrance was still locked and most freaky of all, the rug my mum fixed for the second time was lying there again, at a slant!
